The recent autopsy report was submitted to the 26th Circuit Court of Alabama and provides further details on the horrific crime of sexual assault and murder. The report was released on February 18th and made public on Monday.
According to the report, Kristy Siple, the girl’s mother, and a man identified by the investigation as Jeremy Tremaine Williams, had some agreement in which Siple received money to coerce Holland into performing sexual acts.
The autopsy report states that Holland died from suffocation. Williams has also been charged with sexual assault resulting in death. According to the report, Williams recorded himself sexually assaulting Holland after she had been strangled. For filming the abuse after death, Williams has also been charged with producing child pornography.
The examination of court documents suggests that Siple was present and participated in the killing of Holland, but it is unclear what role she may have played in the video if any.
Both suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty. Neither has made a public statement.
The case began on December 13th, 2021, when Chief of Police Van Russell received a call from Kristy Siple reporting her daughter missing. That same day, police found Kamarie Holland’s body in an abandoned house in Phenix City. The police believe she died from suffocation and had evidence of sexual abuse.
The Columbus Police Department, through unconfirmed information, was able to quickly identify Jeremy Tremaine Williams as the suspect and request an arrest warrant. Williams had previously lived in the house where Holland’s body was found.
The Chief of Police stated that there was a relationship between Siple and Williams but considered it not romantic.
The initial statement from the Chief of Police did not indicate that Siple was a suspect or person of interest. Details about the case were limited due to the many gag orders issued by the presiding judge, making it difficult to confirm information.
On December 27th, things took a different turn when the Alabama District Judge issued four arrest warrants for Siple, 35 years old. Three of the charges were related to the murder of Holland, and the fourth charge was human trafficking. The three murder charges were murder during kidnapping, murder during sexual assault, and murder during depravity. The murder charges accuse her of acting in concert with Williams in the crimes.
